GreenRU, established in 2012, is a zero-waste recycler of organics and food scraps headquartered in Blairsburg, Iowa. We offer complete recycling services with onsite collection carts/bins, organic recycling educational signage, bin liners, and routine collection of recyclables. Our team works closely to develop an organics waste diversion program to help organizations reduce their ecological footprint.

Our purpose is to provide clients with a zero-waste, inclusive organics collection program filled with planning, educational training, processing, and quantitatively reporting material diverted from local landfills. All clients have a goal to reduce landfill-collected material or be 100% landfill free!

GreenRU utilizes composting facilities and anaerobic digestion to landfill divert. These recycling methods take organic waste, like food scraps, and transform it into a soil amendment and richer regeneratively. Farmers, gardeners, landscapers, etc. utilize compost to naturally recycle organic material.
