FAQ
Q: How often will GreenRU pick up my food scraps?
A: GreenRU will do a waste audit and measure the amount of organic waste that your business is generating. With that audit information, we will determine a frequency that works best for your volume.
Q: I want to do the right thing, but how is this going to save my business money?
A: GreenRU will strive to be cost-neutral or slightly less. We will be diverting a number of pulls from your dumpster, so they will be composted rather than going to the landfill.
Q: I want this to be successful, how can I be sure this will happen?
A: GreenRU will be onsite when the program starts and will provide you with all the signage, training, and information to get you off on a successful diversion path. GreenRU also provides information in multiple languages for your staff on what can and cannot be composted.
Q: What is the cost of implementing the program?
A: Our cost varies for each client based on the frequency of pickup and tonnage diverted. Please contact us if you’d like us to generate a quote for your business.
Q: How do I establish an organic waste diversion program?
A: GreenRU provides specialized carts and bins for collection. We will also provide training and signage for program implementation.
Q: Why is it important to recycle organic material?
A: Because in many cases over 50% of the waste stream going into landfills is organic waste which is recyclable and compostable. Composting is the only way to recycle many forms of organic waste and it increases the life of our limited space in landfills.
